Gamma's fists are spiked, but it's not an instant kill*. Probably because having instant-kill hazards in a boss arena is just bad game design. Especially when those hazards are basically part of the attack. Gate.

*scratch that, yes it is... It is really, really buggy though. It can only actually hit you if you are standing completely still. If you're walking towards it... You just go right ontop of the hand, with no problems whatsoever. Also, if it does kill you, your life bar doesn't drain and the death sound doesn't play. It might be the fault of the rom or emulator I'm using, though.
